There has been a change in the strength of the B12 ampoules. Each ampoule contains 2mg of methylcobalamin (instead of 1mg). Double the strength of the previous B12.
 
This strength of B12 can be used the following ways:
 
You can administer 2mg of the B12 to your clients monthly.
Rather than offering an uploading course, (one injection per week for 4 weeks) to your client, you can offer a course of four injections to be used as and when your client requires.  (DO NOT ADMINISTER MORE THAN TWO OF THESE AMPOULES OF B12 PER MONTH).
You can use the 2ml ampoule for two clients. By drawing up two syringes, 1ml in each, and administer the B12 injection to two individuals/clients. (Only do this if your clients are back to back appointments).  Do not store or keep the syringes for more than one hour and no higer than 25 degrees centrigrade.
Or lastly, you can offer your clients 1ml of the 2ml ampoule. If you wish to keep your clients on 1mg of B12 and discard the rest of the ampoule.

Methycobalamin B12:
 
Methylcobalamin is the most bio-available type of Vitamin B12 which means the body absorbs it more easily. Naturally occurring, it is found in animal-based foods such as meat, fish, milk and eggs so is readily available in many people’s daily diet.
 
It remains in the body for a longer period of time and at higher levels than Cyanocobalamin, which means that the body is supplied with vitamin B12 for longer if you use Methylcobalamin.
 
Methylcobalamin is the most active form of Vitamin B12. It is a methyl-compound that the human body requires to function properly and is used mainly in the liver, brain and nervous system. Studies show Methylcobalamin is the specific form of B12 needed for nervous system health.
 
Vitamin B12 also helps boost energy levels and helps assist with weight loss.
 
Vitamin B12, supports red blood cell formation in the body.
 
Methylcobalamin also assists in the removal of free radicals produced from oxygen metabolism.
 
Vitamin B12 also affects the synthesis of fatty acids and the production of energy.
 
B12 is necessary for digestion, protein synthesis, absorption of foods and the metabolism of fat and carbohydrates.
 
Athletes and individuals who exercise daily may have low B12 levels, due to the increased metabolism. The metabolism is raised due to the demand for this vitamin. Benzyl Alcohol 15%
Sodium Chloride 0.9%
Water for injection, ph (range 4.5-7.0), adjusted with Sodium Hydroxide.
